Free Gibson RB250 Banjo. 10 years old. Unmarked superb condition. Mahogany and Rosewood. Worcester

The Gibson Mastertone 5 string banjo was the banjo of choice for generations of the finest bluegrass and country musicians. The RB250 was The classic 'workhorse' of the Gibson range. Made for decades but sadly no more since Gibson unaccountably stopped producing banjos a few years ago. This instrument has had one very careful owner and is in great condition. The mahogany neck and resonator are beautifully clean and unmarked and the rosewood fretboard shows only the usual wear from being played. It has a new head fitted and a recently installed Fults Cumberland adjustable tail piece. The tone of this banjo is sublime. When played loud it packs a punch that cannot be beaten but it is also capable of producing the subtlest and sweetest melodic rolls. The banjo comes complete with the original hard Gibson case in black with 'The Gibson' logo stencilled on the lid in gold also in great condition. Prospective buyers must see and play this instrument. I will accept only cash or bank transfer as payment.
